I started this week on a bit of a high after being announced as a finalist for the Kidspot Voices of 2015 in the Home & Wellbeing category. It was such a surprise and a big thank you to those who nominated me. My goal in writing this blog is to hopefully inspire people with images of beautiful interiors and share some useful ideas along the way. To receive acknowledgment for doing something I love is definitely a bonus. I am in some great company, so be sure to check out the other 99 nominees (here). The winner for each category will be announced in November.
And now for this week’s Friday’s Favourites. What I love about this kitchen/dining space is that although the colour palette is neutral, it’s the details that provide interest. Textured pendants, wall molding and slipcovered chairs. I imagine the view from the full length windows would be pretty special too.

Another example of a beautiful space with a pared back palette is this entrance. The wall detail and dark timber flooring set the tone. While the view to the bright living room and beyond draws you in.
This inspiring living room belongs to one of my favourite American Interior Designers, Victoria Hagan. There are so many details to love in this image. The windows capturing the Nantucket views, soft blue armchairs, casual slipcovers. All the elements for a perfect coastal getaway.

And finally, celebrating some Aussie interior design with this amazing nook. Everyone knows I love a good window seat and this one ticks all the boxes.
