I am happy to report that progress is going well with our new build. Our mantlepieces arrived and I can’t wait to see them painted. We will have one in the sitting room and one in the living room surrounding the gas fires.
Here is a peek at the front sitting and dining room (complete with round window!). I am now starting to plan the window furnishings. I am thinking a mix of shutters, drapes and Roman blinds. The plaster has started going up this week so I will post more images once this is complete.
Now for some Friday’s Favourites inspiration. I love this light-filled kitchen corner complete with fireclay sink and beautiful tapware. Washing dishes might even be enjoyable!
The ceiling detail and feature stonework create a great first impression of this front entrance.
This sitting room is elegant but still relaxed. It would be the perfect spot to read a book or catch up with friends. I like the conversational style placement of the chairs.

On a sad note for me, I need to find a new home(s) for these gorgeous beaded chandeliers. I had originally planned to use them in my girls’ new bedrooms but our ceiling heights have changed and now they are too big (84cm H). I am selling them for the trade price.
