Friday’s Favourites

July 15, 2016 by Belinda

I thought I would share a quick update of the landscaping progress for our new build. The weather has not been kind for the guys with rain/hail and crazy winds. A tent has been constructed above the spa to keep out the water and allow the tiling to be finished. The pool is almost complete and summer can’t come soon enough!

The stone retaining wall has finished with a bluestone capping tile and the paving underway. It is very exciting to see our first row of trees planted. The boundary fences will be painted black to highlight the green foliage.

For this week’s Friday’s Favourites I am featuring the latest work of Nashville Interior Designer, Sarah Bartholomew. Sarah has a fresh take on the beautiful classic American style that I love. This all-white kitchen has my favourite bistro bar stools and beautiful joinery.

Pops of green add a freshness to the neutral space.

The classic features continue in the ensuite with shaker joinery and polished chrome hardware. Sarah is known for her practicality in her designs and includes an abundance of storage.

  1. Bel!!! Gorgeous…please tell me you have plans for a variegated lemon tree (pink lemons!) as you know how I loved your parents lemon tree. Send me your pool inspiration pics so that I can get some ideas for our build!!

    1. Funny you should mention the lemon tree Lynn. We are doing an espalier on the fence that screens the pool equipment and a lemon tree did come up as an option! Are you on Pinterest? I have lots of my pool inspo images on there. xx

  2. The landscaping looks fantastic Belinda – what a wonderful area this is going to be. You must be excited that completion is not too far away now!
