Friday’s Favourites

Mother’s Day arrived a week later for me with the second purchase for the new house. Mr Gallerie B spent last week in New York for work. Not one to miss a U.S. spending opportunity, I had my sights set on some handles and knobs for all the cupboards and drawers from one of my favourite stores, Restoration Hardware. Unfortunately they don’t ship to Australia so I emailed them in advance with the order. Within 24 hours they had expedited the goods from all over the U.S. to their Manhattan store. They were boxed and ready for my husband to collect the next day. Such amazing service and they were all on sale too.

Thankfully Mr GB travels light as there were 157 in total! He declared them at customs at this end and there were no problems.

I started looking at similar style pulls here and they were six times the price! The glass one will go in my walk in robe and ensuite. The rest will be for cabinetry in the kitchen, study, laundry and girls’ bathroom.

Now onto my Friday’s Favourites for this week. I love the injection of colour in this nook which would otherwise be a bit of a void. The table and lantern are from Oomph, another one of my favourite U.S. retailers.

This master bedroom is huge! I would love to see some more colour on the walls but am drawn to the navy and white bedding and tufted bedhead.

This gorgeous girl’s attic bedroom is such a great use of space. The built-in furniture increases the amount of storage. All those cushions make it very cosy.

This powder room ticks all the boxes from my Powder Room Perfection checklist (check out the blog here). Soft geometric wallpaper, sconce lighting, classic tapware and marble counter. I love that hand towel too!

Have a lovely weekend.
