My Favourite Design Blogger Nurseries

Let’s just say it has been a few years since I have set up a nursery. I would have a much harder time making decisions these days with the amount of gorgeous furniture and accessory options available. My one piece of advice to someone setting up a nursery is to choose more ‘grown-up’ lighting, artwork and furnishings. This allows the room to grow with your child. It doesn’t mean though that the room can’t still be whimsical and fun. Here are some of My Favourite Design Blogger Nurseries who have been able to achieve this perfect mix.

This room belongs to Monika Hibbs‘ son. She has incorporated some great lighting and a modern look with the inclusion of some black accessories.

For her daughter’s nursery, Monika chose a pretty soft pink wallpaper and white furnishings.

Shea McGee did an amazing job transforming this room into her daughter’s nursery (you should see the before photo!). The wallpaper is youthful but not too babyish.

I have featured this beautiful nursery before. It belongs to Rachel Parcell’s daughter and is designed by Caitlin Creer. Rachel’s blog, Pink Peonies, is worth having a look at for her stunning Utah home alone! Rachel is pregnant with her second child, a boy, and I can’t wait to see her next nursery reveal.

Mother and daughter team, Sissy and Marley, designed this nursery for a client. It is simple yet sophisticated. The neutral palette can easily be added to as he grows. Their website features lots of gorgeous children’s bedroom inspiration.

Lindsay from The Pursuit of Style created this pretty nursery for her client’s daughter. I love the idea of keeping the walls neutral but wallpapering the ceiling for a bit of fun.

Nancy Marcus of Marcus Design recently revealed the nursery she completed for her son. Another amazing transformation, check out the before image in the link below. Calming grey tones seem to be a recurring theme in boys room. It is a great base colour to add neutrals, black or soft blue accessories.

Finally, I had to include this gorgeous reading nook that fits a single bed, designed by Kathy Kuo. I could imagine lots of fun being had in this space.
