Friday’s Favourites

Something extremely exciting happened this week…..I got tickets to see Oprah in December! I know, I am crazy but seeing Oprah has been on my ‘bucket list’ for years. On a trip to New York a few years back with some girlfriends, Oprah was filming a show at Central Park. I was in the queue to get in (for free!). I was three people from the front of the line, before they had enough audience members and sent everyone else home. I missed her last visit to Melbourne as I was working. On our recent holiday to Maui I heard she was on the island too at her holiday home. Anyway, I am sounding like a stalker and am thrilled to say I have legitimate tickets to see her in December. Read about my love affair with Oprah’s closet (here).

The first of this week’s Friday’s Favourites has some design elements for my study in the new build. Although this is a sitting room, I love the grasscloth wallpaper, built-in joinery, bold floor rug and pops of colour.

I must have cabinetry on my mind at the moment as this sitting room has also caught my eye this week. I love the casually styled shelving and the contrast of the wall colour against the white trim.

The rich colour and grey grasscloth help create a sense of luxe in this sitting room. The Christopher Farr fabric on the armchair is one of my favourites.

This breakfast nook features some gorgeous bistro chairs with some cosy seating provided by the banquette. The turquoise beaded chandelier adds the perfect finish to this dining space.

Have a lovely weekend.

Is anyone else going to see Oprah?
