Friday’s Favourites

by

I have been indulging in some artwork ‘shopping’ this week. I have had my eye on these amazing paper feather artworks by Mondocherry for a while now. Each feather is intricately hand cut and then watercoloured. A metallic detail is added and they are then layered to create a beautiful bespoke piece.

I am looking for something in a simple white and grey palette to be hung above my blue bone inlay chest.

They created a sample for me which I think will be perfect, mainly white with some grey/silver highlights. The feather artworks are custom made to size and framed to suit your choice.

This beauty is waiting to be picked up by its lucky owner.

This week’s Friday’s Favourites continues my Modern Farmhouse love. I recently discovered this gorgeous new build on Instagram by Urban Farmhouse Build. Alex has done a beautiful job of creating her own Modern Farmhouse in the Southern Highlands. The exterior features board and batten panelling.

The interior details are equally as impressive. I love these barn doors.

The classic kitchen features grey cabinetry, Shaker profile doors and Carrara marble bench tops.

Here is a more detailed image. The nickel hardware is from Restoration Hardware.

Huge industrial steel doors capture views of the garden and allow light to stream in.

The open plan kitchen/living space is decorated in a soft colour palette.

Thanks for allowing me to share your beautiful home Alex, can’t wait to see more!

  1. Thank you Belinda for your lovely comments and for appreciating our new house. Still so much to do to finish it the way I would like, but enjoying the process! Looking forward to following the progress of your build too – it looks like it is going to be beautiful! x
