Decorating with Blue and White Ceramics

by

The truth is that I have been a collector my entire life. I blame it on my Cancerian star sign but over the years I have hoarded  collected anything from postcards, soaps, serviettes, stickers, swap cards and Hello Kitty stationary. I like to think that I have become more selective with age. So these days, it’s all about blue and white ceramics. I have slowly grown the collection which I display in this cabinet, picking up bits and pieces from my travels, op shops, ebay, as well as receiving some as gifts.

Apart from seeing my collection en masse, I love using blue and white ceramics around the home.

  1. Oh I love these! I have a beautiful blue and white ginger jar that has miraculously stayed in tact for nearly 4 years. I collect interiors books and enamel jugs. And shoes and frocks of course! x

  2. Exquisite! My favor color is the white and blue. Even though my house is French country with yellows and blues and whites. Tks for sharing with all of us! Cruzita

  3. I am in the process of building my retirement home which will feature blue, white and grey as background colors. My intent is to decorate with blue and white porcelain along with colbalt blue glass pieces I have collected over many years. A little yellow, orange/coral and green accents will round out the color scheme. I cannot wait to move in.

  4. That is such a beautiful collection!! I love them with the pink flowers. I’m just starting to buy a few blue white vases for our new home. Can you share some tips on where to find them for a fair price or how to find good ones on eBay?

    • Thanks Lynne, I’m not sure if you are in Australia but a lot of mine have come from a store called Portobello Home. There is another online store called Alfresco Emporium that have a good range. Every now and then I check eBay to see if any blue and white ceramics come up. I guess it is just luck if there are some. Good luck!
