Friday’s Favourites

by

This week marked a bit of a milestone…….I made the first purchase for the new house! Not a big one but I’m still excited about these two rattan pendants I picked up at the Coastal Living sale. I am planning to hang them in the Al Fresco area which will be positioned off the living room.

Friday's Favourites

One of this week’s Friday’s Favourites is my inspiration for the Al Fresco. I am hoping to source similar casual outdoor seating with lots of scatter cushions. We are having a pitched roof like this one and I’m thinking the pendants can hang above the space.

And for some more favourites. This Sydney bathroom is timeless and ticks all the boxes. Sconce lighting, marble tiling, great joinery and classic tapware.

Amazingly this is not a kitchen but a butler’s pantry! I think I would be spending many hours in this space with its unlimited storage and beautiful pendant.

This built-in vanity looks so inviting. I love the glass cabinets and of course the sconce lights.

  1. Those lamp shades are really lovely and will look great in an alfresco area. We didn’t put a pergola up at the back of our house because it was facing the wrong way but now I have dreams of one with a climbing something growing all over it!

    • Thanks Anna. I am worried about natural lighting too with the covered roof as it is near the south side. I am putting skylights into the ceiling of the pitched roof so hopefully that allow some more light in. Fingers crossed it all turns out!! x

  2. That pitched roof is divine! So light and airy under there!! Can’t wait to hear more about the new house. It sounds like a dream!

    • Thanks so much Kirralee. Still feels like a long way away but enjoying the planning phase. Looking forward to catching up next weekend x

  3. That outdoor room is absolutely stunning……love everything about it, especially the furniture – where did you ever find that set? GORGEOUS! Good luck in your new home

    • Hi Denise, isn’t it amazing? I wish I could help you with where to source it but unfortunately I’m not sure where the designer, Melissa Haymes got them from. Sorry! x
